FHPK, UMK Visits LPPKN Headquarters to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation

14 August 2025 – The Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness (FHPK), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), conducted an official visit to the Headquarters of the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) in Kuala Lumpur to discuss potential strategic collaborations in the areas of research and training. The discussion focused on family well-being, women’s health, and postnatal care, with LPPKN serving as a benchmark through its MamaCare programme.

The UMK FHPK delegation was welcomed by YBhg. Dato’ Abdul Shukur Abdullah, Director-General of LPPKN, along with members of the senior management team. The visit also featured presentations by YBrs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadil Mohd Yusof, Dean of FHPK and Interim Director of Ibu Care @UMK, and YBrs. Dr. Norsyamlina Che Abdul Rahim. The delegation was also taken on a tour of the MamaCare Spa & Café. This collaboration is expected to serve as a starting point for various initiatives under Ibu Care @UMK, aimed at strengthening efforts to enhance family well-being in Malaysia.
