UMK and RUDN University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

11 November 2025 – Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People's Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). This partnership is spearheaded by the Faculty of Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness (FHPK). The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Langkawi International Convention Centre (LICC) in conjunction with the Malaysia–Russia Joint Commission Meeting (JC-ESTC) on 10 and 11 November 2025. The UMK delegation was represented by the Dean of FHPK, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Fadil Mohd Yusof; Director of the International Centre, Dr. Burhan Che Daud; and Deputy Director, YM Raja Norliana Raja Omar. This collaboration is expected to further enhance student and staff mobility programmes, joint research initiatives, conference organisation, and the development of new academic programmes. The ceremony was witnessed by the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, YB Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir, and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, H.E. Valery Falkov.
